Whatever your requirements around doors, windows and conservatories, we can probably help. You may just wish to replace a single door or window, add a window where you haven’t had one before, double glaze a whole property or build a new extension or conservatory. Alternatively, you may have had double-glazing or a conservatory fitted elsewhere and be experiencing problems.

Our associate company can supply kitchens, blinds, tiling and underfloor heating, so together we can fully fit-out your new space.

Types of Windows and Conservatories

Your first choice is materials; this will be based on your personal preferences, the style of property and your budget. Basic frames are offered in PVC-u, aluminium and hardwood. We then have numerous design options including Georgian style, sashes, leaded lights and acid etched. Individual stained glass designs can even reflect your interests or business logo. We have 19 woodgrain effects from limed oak & light pine, through to oak and ebony and 18 colours – including blue, red, green and 3 shades of grey!

Windows can open inwards or outwards and we have a good variety of handle colours and styles.

Another important consideration is the number of openings, which can make quite a difference to price. All windows are made to measure so we can match any size, even arched windows.

Of course, when advising you, we will also bear in mind the appropriate regulations, such as the number and size of openings for fire and ventilation and also the quality of glass required in some conditions.

All our installations have a 10 year guarantee.

Timetable

We can normally fit a simple window in around 3 weeks, a conservatory averages 8 weeks although special materials may take this up to 3 months.

Process

In almost all cases, ABCO's service starts with a site visit and quotation. This is the best way to understand your needs and let you know about the options available. Although we only believe in using high quality products, there are many ways to meet different budgets and tastes.

Once you have agreed for us to undertake a project, our own fitters will be brought in to make it all happen. This gives us the confidence to know that all the work is done to a high standard.

DIY and Trade

We offer a supply-only service for replacement windows or as a part of self-build house or extension. Detailed advice is available on taking your own measurements and on the maximum recommended size for each type of window. We will be happy to do a site survey, although this will naturally incur a fee.

Normally included in the price quoted is the external windowsill, packers / shims, fixings, sealants, trims, friendly advice and a fitting leaflet. Also available for an extra charge are internal windowsills in various materials, opening restrictors, triple vents, security chains, spy holes, cat flaps, decorative glazing, etc.

Self-build conservatories are available, but are only recommended to competent trades people.

Materials are supplied with a 5 year guarantee and homeowners or tradesmen will need to apply for their own local authority registration.
